The Emergency Operations Centre in Kelowna has now been active for 30 consecutive days. In the last 30 days millions of dollars have been spent as a result of flooding. At this time the end does not seem near and the folks at the Centre will have more long days ahead.

The US state of Washington passed an amended distracted driving law in May of 2017. This will come into effect in August of 2017. Ham radio is exempt from these new changes. To see the bill go to
