MEXICO REQUESTS CLEAR FREQUENCIES FOR INCOMING HURRICANE PATRICIA.. PLEASE SEE TEXT

Emergency communications net have been or will shortly be established in Mexico in preparation for hurricane Patricia.

It is requested the following frequencies be kept clear except for emergency traffic    7.060    14.130 and 21.120. THERE IS A CONTEST ON THIS WEEKEND PLEASE KEEP                                   THESE FREQUENCIES CLEAR.

A thank you to all the CECA members who participated in the Simulated Emergency Test on Saturday Oct 10th 2015.  An outstanding success with the various modes used. Always more to learn, but it was shown we can meet our mandate.  Congratulations

A thank you to all the amateur radio operators that participated in the Simulated Emergency Test on Saturday October 10, 2015. Emergency Management British Columbia and others are working hard to develop protocols that will permit the efficient and effective transfer of information for not only the government agencies , but for those impacted by the event.  Government and Welfare traffic, what are the best practices.

The numbers and other information from the SET are being compiled. From all indications the event was a success.  Thanks again to all who participated.
