HURRICANE ARTHUR AND THE MARITIMES. FINAL REPORT.

Arthur is expected to reach the Maritimes this evening – July 4th 2014. It is believed it will arrive in the Maritimes as a tropical storm not a hurricane.  High winds and heavy rain are still expected In any event please ensure HF frequencies are not in use prior to transmitting. Given the current band conditions alternate bands/frequencies may be required.  For your information the link below lists the official  emergency frequencies in Canada

RAC ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING…THIS WEEKEND !

The 2014 Radio Amateurs of Canada  Annual General Meeting  will be held Sunday July 27th at Noon after the Pacific Northwest DX Convention at the Inn at the Quay 900 Quayside Drive, New Westminster, BC  Further information may be found in the RAC Report of June 2014 . International Space Station CONTACTS DURING FIELD DAY

While all the Field Day reports are not in yet I am aware of multiple Field Day contacts in British Columbia  with the International Space station.  From the limited information received thus far and the material contained in the attachment it would appear the folks on the space station had a rather busy time.  The fact they took the time out to do this work is much appreciated by all involved.
