Tim Jones of North Shore Rescue lost his life yesterday. Cause of death was cardiac arrest. He was not involved in a search or rescue at the time of his death.
Having had the honour of working with Tim I can say his loss will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and the entire Province of British Columbia. He worked non stop to make the backwoods of BC a safer place, not only for those who use the woods, but those involved in Search and Rescue. He was always concerned about communications during searches and was a good friend of amateur radio.
