Marking one year since the flood, the Program for this meeting will be a presentation of Ceremony of Thanks certificates to the Radio Amateurs that assisted with the June 2013 flood event.  Geoff will give remarks as well.

Amateur Radio Operators Prepare to Support Manitoba Marathon

 

Winnipeg 12 JUN 2014 – Over eighty-five Amateur Radio Operators and supporting personnel will be providing volunteer communications support for the Manitoba Marathon this Sunday. Amateur Radio Operators (also known as “Hams”) have been involved in the Manitoba Marathon for thirty-five (35) years. RAC-Bulletin RAC President to visit CAARC (Alberta) June 14th.

The Central Alberta Amateur Radio Club (CAARC) is holding their 44th annual picnic and hamfest June 13, 14 and 15th.

On Saturday June 14th, RAC President Geoff Bawden VE4BAW will be attending and holding a “town hall” meeting between 11:00am to noon to discuss RAC and Amateur Radio in general. This special event will take place at the Shady Nook Hall.
