The southern interior of BC is flooding. Over 2 million sandbags deployed, over two thousand people evacuated and a total of 22 evacuation orders/alerts in place. In the northern part of the Province fire is the concern. Make sure you maintain contact with local media especially if you are travelling in these areas.

The Central Okanagan Emergency Centre is urging property owners who have previously been flooded to prepare. Those near creeks and streams are vulnerable. Properties along Okanagan Lake are not a concern at this time.
