KAMLOOPS KIDS WORKED HARD, THEN LOST IT ALL.

A group of elementary school students from Kamloops worked hard on their experiment, raised funds, did all the required paperwork and then watched it all go up in smoke when the NASA rocket blew up earlier this week. The science experiment dealt with the manufacture of crystals in space.

The lads have not given up, good luck to them in their future activities.

Also posted is an article about the loss of some US amateur payloads.

A CHANGE OF COMMAND.

My duties as Section Manger for the BC Yukon Section of the Radio Amateurs of Canada will come to an end November 1, 2014.

Having completed terms as both Section Traffic Manager and Section Manager I don’t think the average ham has any idea of the amount of volunteer work that goes on behind the scenes. Thanks to all that have served on the secretariat. Bill Foster, VE7WWW and Fred Orsetti, VE7IO have done an exemplary jobs that were very much appreciated. In addition, a special thank you to the editor of TCA for his help and patience.  It has been  interesting to say the least.
