Many areas of British Columbia are suffering the effects of heavy rain and snow melt. Emergency Operations Centres are opening and closing as situations dictate. Communications…. it can always be done better.

I don’t think anyone can really complain about the evacuation conducted by officials and the public during the fire in Ft. Mc Murray. A huge number of folks banned together to help each other and get a job done safely and efficiently.  Because it was a success it doesn’t mean there are not lessons to be learned or ways to improve. Fear of Earthquake Causes Demolition of Homes in Jordan River BC

The fear of an earthquake has caused BC Hydro to take action on properties below their dam. The article below is nearly a year old, but  the demolition started of all the homes that were in the way..  It has been an interesting story to follow to say the least.
