The Hurricane Watch Net is no longer active. They are taking some well deserved rest
The ARRL has posted information on what ham radio is doing in response to the hurricane called Matthew. To read that information go to

The Hurricane Watch Net remains active as of this time. Please check their website for current operating frequencies. Their site is http://www.hwn.org/
The Salvation Army net is also still active… http://www.satern.org/
Remember too their are ARES nets on VHF and UHF

The Hurricane Net Watch remains active on 20 and 40 metres. They have downgraded their response to Level 4 – Activated Mode. Please ensure you check their website for current frequencies in use. Your usual cooperation is appreciated.
Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for Vancouver Island. Winds of 80 kph on the west coast of the island and 70kph on the east of the island are predicted. Rain will accompany the wind.

Florida ARES groups are now at a level 1 activation (Local), but expect that will go to Level 2 (Statewide) within 24 hours. All this in preparation for Hurricane Matthew. To read more on the activation go to
6 OCT 2016 1612 ARES UNITS UP THE US East Coast are now activated. The Hurricane net is currently active on 20 and 40 Metres PLEASE CHECK their website, whose address is in the next paragraph.
