K3S is the call sign of the Nuclear Ship Savannah. She is the first nuclear powered merchant ship in the world. The radio will be active on SSB (20 and 40 M) and CW from 1300 -2100 UTC. 27 April 2019. This station is also an award station for the Inernational Marconi Day Certificate. The SEA-PAC Committee had several designs submitted for consideration to be the 2019 SEA-PAC Convention Pin.
The winner was selected by the SEA-PAC Committee and the design has been accepted by the pin manufacturer. All entries were considered in a blind selection process which included design and suitability for manufacturing details. No names were attached to the submissions at the time of selection by the Committee.
The winning design selected by the SEA-PAC Committee was submitted by Greg Shuster, KI7DTS, of Camas, WA. The winner receives two tickets to the SEA-PAC banquet and mention in the convention booklet.
Congratulations to Greg and a big thank you to all of those who submitted designs.
