Folks in one county of Pennsylvania will have teams of amateur radio operators on stand by on election day. The purpose would be to assist citizens in casting their ballots without interruption or delay. More information can be found at

Mexican amateurs have been asked to provide communications in a remote area back to Protection Civil in Monterrey MX. 2 amateurs flown in by helicopter for first day of radio support. Fire has been burning for two days now, over 200 acres in rough terrain, about 65% contained. Temps have been over 100 F . A US station north of Austin Texas , N5TW, is also assisting in the operation.
UPDATE Amateurs are still working the communications on this fire.
UPDATE MAY 31 2019; Emcomm operators have been stood down as the fire is now under control. Heavy rains in the areas assisted the fire fighters. Radio operators are on their way home
