Mexican amateurs have been asked to provide communications in a remote area back to Protection Civil in Monterrey MX. 2 amateurs flown in by helicopter for first day of radio support. Fire has been burning for two days now, over 200 acres in rough terrain, about 65% contained. Temps have been over 100 F . A US station north of Austin Texas , N5TW, is also assisting in the operation.

UPDATE MAY 31 2019; Emcomm operators have been stood down as the fire is now under control. Heavy rains in the areas assisted the fire fighters. Radio operators are on their way home
