CECA AND JOTA

In Support of JOTA this weekend CECA will have two stations working. One station will be in Nanaimo in conjunction with the Nanaimo Amateur Radio Association and the other will be at the Gabriola Emergency Communications Centre.

JOTA is an annual Scouting event that uses amateur radio to link Scouts around the world. JOTA started in Canada in 1958. More than 500,00 Scouts participate around the world

Communication During Times of Crisis

Rumour control is probably the most critical.  This should be part of conversations between ARES leaders and Emergency Program Coordinators.  How can amateur radio assist…. maybe think out of the box a little
