THE PRESIDENT’S VISIT IS OVER.
Geoff Bawden, President of RAC, has left the BC Yukon Section and headed home. This was the first visit of a President of RAC to British Columbia. Director Bill Gipps organized a whirlwind week of visits to various clubs,a meeting with Government, and a swap meet. The visit ended on Vancouver Island where a group of over 50 hams from all over the island attended a town hall type meeting.
Please make a note that the RAC AGM for 2014 will be held in Vancouver on the weekend of July 25th. Lots of time to make plans, come to the convention and meet the President and others who serve you in the organization.
Thank you Director Gipps for all your efforts , thank you Mr. President for coming to our Section and thank you to all the amateurs that made the effort to attend the various functions during the Presidents visit..
A VERY SPECIAL DAY
Today is the day we turn our thoughts and prayers to those who have and those who continue to serve in the Royal Canadian, Navy , Air Force , Mounted Police and the Army.
Our lives are fast paced, and very busy today. Were it no for those we are thinking of today we would not be able to enjoy what we have in Canada..
In our community we can’t forget CFARS members either. Their work is done quietly behind the scenes, but very much appreciated by those who use the service.
Please take a few minutes and Remember All of Them.
