Multiple EOC’s Open as Storm Hits BC Coast. Dec 20 2018

Multiple jurisdictions have opened their EOC’S ( Emergency Operation Centres) in response to the storm that has hit the BC south coast.  BC Hydro has hundreds of power outages, 442 Search and Rescue Squadron was activated earlier this day and conducted a rescue.   As always monitor you local media, be aware of the dangers of downed power lines, and don’t venture out unless necessary emergency crews have their hands full.

A Tsunami Comes Ashore… Doesn’t Stop at the Beach..

On Dec 5 2018 a tsunami struck Vanuatu. It moved over 200 metres inland past the beach,  Always ensure you move inland and to high ground. To learn more about this event and the tsunami zones in BC go to
