Wind Warning for Coastal British Columbia

From Environment Canada:

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring. A powerful low pressure system will bring southeast winds of 60 to 90 km/h to the inner south coast beginning this morning. The wind will veer to the southwest this evening and gradually ease overnight. In Howe Sound strong southerly winds of 60 km/h gusting to 90 will develop late this afternoon or early evening and then ease overnight. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email topacificstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #BCStorm.

Road dust advisory in effect for Houston and Burns Lake.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
==discussion==
The Ministry of Environment in collaboration with the Northern Health
Authority has issued a road dust advisory for Houston and Burns Lake
because of high concentrations of dust that are expected to persist
until further notice.

Persons with chronic underlying medical conditions should postpone
strenuous exercise and consider staying indoors until the advisory is
lifted.

If you are experiencing symptoms such as continuing eye or throat
irritation, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, coughing or
wheezing, follow the advice of your health care provider,
particularly if you are elderly, have asthma, hay fever, breathing or
lung conditions or if you react strongly to dust.
