From Environment Canada:
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring. A powerful low pressure system will bring southeast winds of 60 to 90 km/h to the inner south coast beginning this morning. The wind will veer to the southwest this evening and gradually ease overnight. In Howe Sound strong southerly winds of 60 km/h gusting to 90 will develop late this afternoon or early evening and then ease overnight. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
