Leave the HAMFEST with a new radio!
Please come to the Radio Amateur of Canada Annual General Meeting on
Oct 5th, 2013 in Ancaster, Ontario in conjunction with the Hamilton
Amateur Radio Club and the Hamilton Amateur Radio Hamfest.
The AGM begins at 1PM in Merritt Hall on the Ancaster Fair Grounds.
We will have a business meeting to
review the audited statements for
2012, confirm the Auditor for 2013 and discuss a bylaw amendment.
After the business meeting we will have a Q and A session and then we
are asking people to raise their hands to debate your President and
Board on the future of RAC.
If you can’t come to Ancaster: We have set up GO TO WEBINAR session
for those members that cannot be present. To participate in the
meeting online, members are asked to send an email to frank@rac.ca as
soon as possible.
EVERYONE WANTS TO GO HOME FROM A HAMFEST WITH A RADIO:
Radioworld and ICOM have given RAC two radios and we can’t take them
home! – you could win one!
Radioworld and ICOM collaberated to provide an Icom IC-7000 HF/VHF/UHF
Mobile Transceiver (a $1400 Value).
Icom Canada has provided an ICOM ID31A – UHF DSTAR Handheld Radio
valued at $355.
We will be selling raffle tickets for $10 for 1 ticket, or 3 tickets
for $20. Anyone joining or renewing RAC as a Maple Leaf Member will
get a free ticket. Look for the ticket sales adjacent to the
RADIOWORLD Booth.
The draw will be held @ 6:00 PM and all proceeds go to RAC.
